This chainmail avential is hand crafted with 9mm flat dome riveted rings, interlaced with rows of whole flat rings, giving it full protection levels for both re-enactment and LARP
This aventail is intended to be fitted within the base of the helm to provide protection for the sides and back of the head and neck.
The chainmail links are sewn onto a leather strip which is then attached to the bottom of the helmet, allowing the mail to protect the shoulders.
It can also be worn as a stand along piece to protect the shoulders when not using the helmet.
